Homemade Granola Bar

I decided to try to make my own homemade granola bar. It was so easy and this recipe is really tasty. My kids are always wanting a snack after school. I try to get them to eat a fruit or veggie but sometimes they want something sweet or more substance. These granola bars were easy to make and are now another great after school snack alternative.

Homemade Granola Bar

  • 2 cups Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 cup PB2 (You can order PB2 here.)
  • 1/4 cup Flax Seed
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 2 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Honey or maple syrup
  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Lay parchment paper in an 8×8 pan.  Pour mixture into pan. Spread evenly. Freeze for 1 hour. Cut into squares. Keep refrigerated for up to 5 days.

Once I cut the granola into the size squares I wanted I put them in ziplock bags. I put them in the drawer of the refrigerator. It made it easy for my kids to grab a quick snack after school.
