I am so passionate about helping women with their health and fitness journey, I decided to start my own blog. I quickly became overwhelmed I was not sure where to start. I wanted to put together a page on some tips that I have learned and resources that helped me get started.
First of all you will want to choose a domain hosting service. Here you will host your website and secure your domain name. I chose BlueHost because it integrates well with WordPress and has been easy to use. They have great technical support as well.

Second I decided to start doing some research on where to began. That is when I stumbled across the Blogging Framework by Abby on Justagirlandherblog.com. Abby has a fantastic course on how to start and grow your blog. She even gives you 3 different options on her course.
- First level is for $25 to buy her ebook.
- Second level is $50 for her ebook, join her Facebook group, and how to videos.
- Third level is $75. This includes:
- Facebook group
- How to videos
- Interviews of other successful bloggers.
I chose #2 for $50 and it was such a great investment.
You can check out the course here:
MailChimp is a great source to start with. It is free and gives you up to 2,000 subscribers. It is easy to use and integrates well with your website.
Aweber is also an option. However, it is not free but is robust and a very good email marketing system to use. You can try it for 30 days for free to see if it is something you would like to subscribe to.
These are a few of the essentials that I have used to create my blog. As I continue to grow as a blogger I will add more to this site. Check back to see if there are any updates.
